The parent/child workshop will be held in the children's room on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. from May 3 to 31. This is a five-week session for parent and their children ages 18-36 months. Learn about Medicare changes
Aseminan titled "Learn about the new changes at Medicare, and find out how to improve your benefits" will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at 2 p.m., at the Church of the Ascension at the corner of Second Avenue and West Street, Parkesburg, to explain the new Medicare Prescription Drug Program. Learn what you need to do now, and receive help filing the new paperwork. Everyone is welcome.
Program for Youngest Readers
Atglen Public Library will host Raise A Reader at the Library on April 14, 21, 28 from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Raise A Reader is a lap-sit program for infants ages 0-23 months and their parents or caregivers designed to give adults the skills to foster language development in their children. Cochranville Fire Company presents "The Fabulous Hubcaps" in concert at Octorara High School, Route 41 and Highland Road, Atglen, on Friday, May 19. Lyme Disease support meeting to be held
The Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern PA will hold a support and discussion meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the Kennett Friends Meeting House, Route 82, Kennett Square. The speaker will be Tom Taylor, a myofascial release therapist, speaking about using myofascial release therapy on Lyme Disease patients. Parkesburg to hold Baseball Parade and Festival
There will be a festival at Minch Park at the conclusion of the Baseball's Opening Day Parade on April 22. There will be food vendors, crafts, flowers, home decor and more. Table space is available; $50 under the tent, $25 outside the tent. Proceeds benefit the Southern Chester County Babe Ruth League.
