Welcome Spring arrives at Longwood with daffodils, tulips, and other old-fashioned favorites that flourish alongside exotic plants in the balmy Orangery and Exhibition Hall, where the fabled blue poppy blooms in March.

West Chester University will have an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. for the faculty show of Cecily Moon and her digital animations and prints. The display is at McKinney Gallery on South Church Street in West Chester. The exhibit continues through Saturday, Feb. 25.
