Rawlinsville Fire Co. plans Bingo
The Rawlinsville Fire Company auxiliary is holding a pick-your-prize bingo on Thursday, March 16. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 7 p.m. It will be held at the fire hall, 33 Martic Heights Drive, Holtwood. Advanced tickets cost $15 and after March 10, cost $17. There are discounts and reserved seating for people who purchase eight or more tickets. The bingo will feature all Longaberger products: Baskets, pottery and wrought iron items. There are 28 games on three prize levels, six card/game, three specials, four good neighbors, one raffle basket, door prizes, and silent auctions featuring some Home Interior items. Any business or residents wishing to sponsor a prize or donate items, or purchase tickets can call Tammy Adams at 284-5185. Tickets will also be available from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the fire company's all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday, March 4.
LGH to hold blood drive at Faith Church
Lancaster General Hospital will hold a community blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 at Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.
Blood donors must be 17 years of age or older and weigh at least 110 pounds. Blood that is collected stays in Lancaster County to benefit members of the community.

Annual Spaghetti Dinner set
The Boy Scouts of Troop 91 will host an All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday March 11 at the Chestnut Level Church House in Quarryville from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults cost $7, Children 3-10 $3.50, Children 2 and under eat free. Take outs available.
St. Patty's Day Dance to benefit Make-a-Wish
There will be a St. Patty's Day dance to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at the Hoffman Building in Quarryville.
DJ Mark Eager of Holtwood will be playing music and refreshments will be provided. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets cost $25 per couple or $15 a person. For advance tickets, call Bev Icenhour at 786-0190.

Teen MOPS meets twice a month
Teen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), a new group for pregnant teens or teen mothers who have preschool-age children, meets the first and third Wednesday of each month until May from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in room 234 at Solanco High School.
Teen MOPS is a support group that does fun activities. There is no charge to join and childcare is provided. Teens do not have to be Solanco students, or have gone to Solanco to attend.

Solanco Soroptimists to hold Basket Bingo
The Solanco Soroptimists will hold a Basket Bingo on Tuesday March 21. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $12 for 20 games.

Muddy Run has Nature camp sign-ups
Attention all campers, ages 7 to 12, Muddy Run Park Nature Camp sign up is for the weeks of July 10, 24 and 31. Sign ups are from 9 a.m. to noon on March 18 in the Information Center. If you miss the sign up, you may check during the week at the store to see if there are any openings. The store number is 284-5850. The cost of camp is $100, a non-refundable deposit of $25 is due at sign up. Lunch and snack are included. The park is located on Route 372, five miles west of the Buck.
QPRC hosting sacred music concert
The Cono Christian School choir of Walker, Iowa, will perform at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 10. The public is invited to attend.
The 50-member choir, which appears in concerts nationally each year, presents a full range of sacred songs, from gospel music, spirituals and hymns, to classical choir selections.
The concert is being presented in the retirement community's Ellingsworth Auditorium at 625 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not required.
The choir's appearance at Quarryville is part of a 12-day tour that includes concerts in New England, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
The Cono Choir has been performing since the school opened in 1951. It has presented concerts in 38 states and has sung before hundreds of church congregations and retirement communities.
