On Saturday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. the Kennett Symphony of Chester County will present Holiday Pops. Guest conductor, Steven Hackman, Assistant Conductor of Reading Symphony, makes his debut in the newly refurbished Kennett High School Auditorium. Soprano Corinne Winters, winner of the Annual Young Artists Competition, the Kennett Symphony Children's Chorus, directed by Karen Markey, and the symphony play joyous sounds of the Holiday Season. Santa Claus is coming to town

Holiday House Tour stops:
The OCRC will hold its 4th Annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the West Fallowfield Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is one of the stops on the 22nd Annual Christmas In and Around Atglen & Parkesburg. Registrations are being accepted now from local crafters and artisans offering handmade unique and original items. The cost is $25 per space. The Parkesburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 406 Fourth Avenue, Parkesburg, will be one of the stops for "Christmas in Parkesburg" on Saturday Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the upstairs banquet hall. Homemade Chicken Corn Soup and sandwiches will be served for lunch. Also there will be vendors such as Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Longaberger Baskets, Jewelry, a bake table and more. Christiana Community Ambulance holds open house
WIOV I 105 will be at Christiana Community Ambulance, along with Artist Bruce Becker, who will be signing his print of the "School House Bell" on Saturday, Dec. 2 beginning at noon. The ambulance association will also have food and drinks available, and there is a possibility that Gov. Ed Rendell may attend.

Pet photos with Santa to benefit Relay for Life

Freedom Chapter Order of DeMolay holds benefit
The Freedom Chapter of the Order of DeMolay, which has members from the Christiana area, will be holding a benefit charity fundraiser for victims of Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Oxford Masonic Lodge located at 245 N. Third Street, Oxford. Cost is $5 per person. Dinner will be an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner. Hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. The public is invited.
Then, at 7 p.m. the members of Freedom Chapter will begin their Installation of Officers for the Chapter's next term of office. This impressive ceremony has a rich tradition dating back over 85 years and is open to the public. This event will last approximately one hour.
