Atglen Seniors to meet

SURF - Seniors United for Recreation and Fellowship will meet on Wednesday, Jan.18 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Pennington Presbyterian Church, Main Street and Ridge Avenue, Atglen. There will be various activities offers and a light lunch will be served. AT 1 p.m. a program "Mind and Body, Use It or Lose It" will be presented.

SURF is offered for all seniors in the Atglen area. For more information or transportation, call the church office at 610-593-2173 and plan to join us.

Workshops slated

The Parkesburg Library will host the following workshops and programs.

On Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Jan. 4-25 a four week Parent/Child workshop will be held for parents and children ages 18-36 months. Registration required. Due to limited space and high demand, each toddler may only attend one Parent/Child Workshop series. Spend time with your child. Play together, create a craft together, circle time and meet new people in an educational and creative environment. Staffed by a librarian and a library assistant.

Community resource professionals will be on hand to discuss various parenting topics.

Historical society slates meeting

The Historical Society of Salisbury Township will have the annual business meeting, Thursday Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Salisbury Township Building, 5581 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap (White Horse). It is requested that all members attend if possible, as there is important business to discuss. Each member's input and note will impact our future.

Library Story Time

Moores Memorial Library, 326 N. Bridge Street, Christiana, offers a story hour every Thursday at 1 p.m. for 3 to 6-year-olds. Join us for stories, crafts, puppets and more. For more information, call 610-593-6683 after 1 p.m.

Support Group offered

A self-help group struggling with stress, tension, anxiety, panic, depression, fatigue, sleep problems, worry, anger, fears, helplessness, hopelessness, and other related conditions.
