Hold That Thought! Cognition and MSThe Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is offering an educational program entitled "Hold That Thought! Cognition and MS," on Monday, Jan. 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lancaster General Health Campus, 2100 Harrisburg Pike, third floor conference room, Lancaster. Power Wheelchairs Available

Wishes on Wheels makes available Electric Power Wheelchairs to non-ambulatory Senior Citizens (65-years-old and up) and the permanently disable of any age, if they qualify. Usually there is no charge or out-of-pocket expense for the power wheelchair, including shipping and delivery to the home by a technician. No deposit is required and there is no obligation for determining if they qualify. Needle Workers Group to meet at library

The Needle Workers Group will meet at the Quarryville Library on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All needle workers are encouraged to come and enjoy crafting and fellowship.

Mothers of Preschoolers invited to unique support group

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meetings will be held the first, and third Friday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. at Union Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood.

MOPS International's goal is to encourage, equip and help to develop mothers of preschoolers to realize their potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. Wesley MOPS has been meeting at Quarryville area churches since 1997. Women from all over Lancaster and Southern Chester counties participate in this group.

Meetings will consist of speakers, fellowship, prayer and crafts. A variety of informative and relevant topics to Mothers of Preschoolers will be addressed by speakers this year. Food is provided at every meeting. Childcare and education is provided for your preschool children during each meeting. MOPS meetings are held during the school year, September through May.
