Bingo slated

Solanco Youth Baseball is sponsoring a Longaberger Basket/Eldreth Pottery Bingo at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17 in the Hoffman Building on the Solanco Fairgrounds. The event will consist of 20 games of Bingo and a Blackout game (for an extra charge). Door prizes will be given out and food will be available. Raffle items will also be available to bid on. Grief Share group open to community Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to Grief Share, a weekly group that meets on Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Jan. 31 - April 10 in the Fellowship Hall of Faith Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.

Grief Share features Christ-centered, biblical teaching on recovery topics associated with the death of a loved one. Included is a DVD seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects and people who have experienced a loved one's death. Opportunity is provided for small group discussion. Valentine's Day craft program at Quarryville Library Children ages 4 and up can come to the Quarryville Library to create a Valentine's Day card for someone special at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Cruisers to hold Snowball Dance The 8th annual Mid-Winter Snowball Dance, sponsored by Moonlite Cruisers, will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Hoffman Building in Quarryville. LCAA announces winter art classes The Lancaster County Art Association is offering nine art classes for adults and an art club for children during the winter months.

Classes and workshops in collage, pottery, precious metal clay, drawing, stained glass, and "the online artist" begin this month. A workshop on the basics of oil and acrylic will be held on two Saturdays in February and a landscape workshop in the same media will be held in March.
