The annual "Light Up Christiana" Christmas lighting contest took place on Saturday evening as part of Christmas in Christiana, sponsored by the Lions Club. Based on five different categories, winners were carefully selected from the decorated homes and the homeowners were awarded with prize monies that were donated by local businesses. Also during the event, Santa Claus visited Harrison House, had lunch with the local children at the fire company, and toured the town for the rest of the day. Sundown marked the lighting of the luminaries.
