The Chester County Intermediate Unit in Downingtown will be hosting a Holiday Theatre Event at the Media Theatre for migrant students next Saturday, Dec. 13.This holiday event is being held for 400 migrant students and parents from Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, according to CCIU spokeswoman Mary Curley.

After the theatre musical production of "Ebenezer," the families will be able to tour Long-wood Gardens, according to Curley.

"The Chester County Intermediate Unit's Pa. Migrant Education Program recognizes the need for enrichment activities for both parents and children via the performing arts and exposure of creative artistry," said Curley in a news release. "This year's Media theatre experience and Long-wood Gardens will also emphasize career awareness."

All expenses and gifts for the event will be paid for by The Second Mile, The COAD Group and the Chester County Penn State Alumni, according to Curley. And transportation was provided by the Krapf Bus Company in Chester County.
