Carrie Elizabeth Johnson, 78, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Life Care Hospice Facility in West Chester.Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Greenley and Annie Johnson-Craig.

She received her education in the Coatesville Area School District. She was a member of the Bethel AME Church of South Coatesville, where she served on the stewardess board.

She had been employed at Chester County Hospital and the Devereux Foundation as an residential care provider. She was also employed with the Rainbow Elementary School.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and socializing.

She is survived by her two sons, Earl S. Johnson (wife, Evelyn) of West Chester and Charles S. Johnson (wife, Rose) of Coatesville; five daughters, Sarah Johnson-Robinson, Gardenia Morrison, Beverly A. Johnson Reeves (husband, Dennis) and Rosa M. Johnson, all of Coatesville, and Linda F. Johnson Anderson (husband, Wade) of Indianapolis, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Craig (wife, Carla) of Indianapolis, Ind.; two aunts, Arzelia Barber (husband, Anthony) of Coatesville and Theresa Johnson Dumas of Atlantic City, N.J.; godchildren, Keith Lane, Chris Jones, Carolyn Craig, Kevin Craig and Cordelia Brown; two special nephews, Earl and William Craig; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends (the Golden Girls).

She was predeceased by her son, Gregory; and daughter, Darcell.
