Bobby Campbell, 68, of East Fallowfield, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville.He was the husband of Mary Morgan Campbell, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Born Sept. 23, 1939 in Marion, Va., he was the son of the late Arthur and Stella Saunders Campbell.
He attended schools in the Avon Grove School District and worked 11 years as a millwright for Lukens Steel Co. For many years he owned and operated Campbell's Auto Body and Upholstery Shop in East Fallowfield.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. #383 of Coatesville, Rajai Temple and Scottish Rites of Reading, affiliated with Hephzibah Baptist Church in East Fallowfield; and an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed working with street rods and loved all cars in general.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Mary Ellen Campbell and fiance, Chub Gilbert, of Coatesville, Rick Campbell and wife, Jessica, of Denver, Pa. and Arthur L. Campbell and wife, Kim, of East Fallowfield; two brothers, Paul Campbell of Conowingo, Md. and Dale Campbell of Mountain City, Tenn.; two sisters, Pearl Webb of Elkton, Md. and Betty Hampton of Mountain City, Tenn.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25, at Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home Inc., Wagontown.
Interment was in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, East Fallowfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Road, East Fallowfield, Pa. 19320.
