Oxford Arts Alliance GalleryAn opening reception on Friday, October 3, from 5-8 p.m. will feature the works of 20 jury-selected local artists from Pa., Del. and Md. all painted at Fair Hill Nature Center. Their work will be on display through November 1. Works will be auctioned off on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Fair Hill Nature Center and the Oxford Arts Alliance. The gallery is located at 38 South Third Street, Oxford, and is open Fridays 12-6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays 12-4 p.m., or by appointment. Beef and Pig Roast Dinner

Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church is hosting their Beef and Pig Roast dinner on Saturday, October 4 from 3:30-7 p.m. Dinners will feature barbecued or plain beef and pork roast with all the trimmings, as well as a homemade pie for dessert. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $12 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Take out meals are available. The dinner will be held in the new addition at the church located at 392 Blake Road, Elkton, Md.

Healthy Living Fair

Oxford Presbyterian Church will host a Healthy Living Fair on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free information and workshops on Healthy Living, prevention, safety and where to get help. All services will be available for Women, men and children of all ages. Activities include health screenings, exhibits, demonstrations and medical specialty workshops.
