Those with dusty old books are asked to dust them off, put them in a box, and donate them to the Friends of the Avon Grove Library Book Sale.The first annual Book Sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Avon Grove Library's Computer Center seating, a press release said. Books may be dropped off at the Avon Grove Library through March 1, during normal business hours. No textbooks or magazines.

o On Saturday, March 1, from 1-4 p.m. there will be jewelry making for teen and adults.

Make a special piece for yourself or as a gift. There is a nonrefundable $10 material fee. Register in person at the library. Limit 20 people per class.

o The library is also holding a Quilt Show Sunday, March 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. In addition to the quilts on display, visitors will explore the art of quilt making through demonstrations and have the opportunity to bid for quilts during a silent auction. Sponsored by Friendship Quilters of Southern Chester County. $5.00 donation. Proceeds benefit Avon Grove Library, a release said.
