Alice Mae Keesey "Auntie Mae," 43, of Glenmoore, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a brief illness.Alice is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Lloyd (Barney); her two sons, Joshua and Joseph, both of Glenmoore; and her stepson, Allan.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on July 21, 1965, she was the daughter of Dorothy Ruble and the late William Ruble.
She was a graduate of Downingtown High School and Brandywine School of Nursing.
During her professional career she worked at Bryn Mawr Rehab, Downingtown School District and Bayada Nurses, as well as performing home health care assistance. At the time of her death, she worked as a nurse and had about 12 years of accumulative service at the Coatesville Veterans Hospital.
In addition to spending time with her children, Alice enjoyed reading, relaxing at the beach, cooking, shopping, boating on the bay and spending time with good friends.
In addition to her mother, husband and sons, she is survived by her sister, Lisa Serwatka and her husband, Garry, of Phoenixville; her brother David and his wife, Karen, of West Chester; and several nieces, nephews and a great-niece.
