Ada Paloni Mattoscio, 89, of Toughkenamon, died on Tuesday, July 7.

She was the wife of the late Gus J. Mattoscio, who died in 1999 and with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Louise DeSantis Paloni.

Mrs. Mattoscio and her husband owned and operated Mattoscio Greenhouses for 30 years, retiring in 1976.A member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Avondale, she enjoyed knitting, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Mattoscio; her daughter, Rose Woodward and her husband, Edward; her grandchildren, David Woodward and his wife, Brooke, and Debbie Woodward-Sheme and her husband, Mark; her great-grandchildren, Mark Sheme Jr. and David Woodward Jr.; her brother, Nazzareno Paloni; her sister, Salina Valdrini; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service was Monday, July 13, at the Doherty Funeral Home, Pike Creek.

Interment was in All Saints Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Chester County Hospital Foundation, 701 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
