The Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts will be performing a holiday concert in Downingtown this Saturday, Dec. 6.Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts, also known as PAPA, will feature both traditional and nontraditional carols from around the world, according to Roger Taylor, the academy's spokesman. PAPA's Chamber Choir will perform this week-end's shows, which is under the direction of S. Katherine Mikijanic.
Saturday afternoon's show will begin at 2 p.m. in the Downingtown Methodist Church located in the 700 block of East Lancaster Avenue.
An additional show will take place on Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in the Chester County Historical Society, which is located in the 200 block of North High Street in West Chester. PAPA's concert will be part of the "West Chester Old Fashioned Christmas," according to Taylor.
Admission will be $10 for adults; and $8 for students and senior citizens. Tickets will be available at the door.
