Robert Fulton Fire Company Auxiliary will host an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast at the fire hall in Wakefield from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17. The fire hall is located at the intersection of routes 272 and 222 in Wakefield.
Special bingo scheduled in Wakefield
Robert Fulton Fire Company will host special bingo Sunday, June 25 at 1 p.m. A package of 40 tickets will cost $25 and will include food. There will also be an early bird jackpot. Motorcycle food run set
The Chester County Chapter of the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) will be holding its 17th annual Food Run Sunday, July 9 to benefit Neighborhood Services. The group will gather in the parking lot of The Shops at Jennersville at the intersection of old Route 1 and Route 796, and depart at 1 p.m., for a ride to Neighborhood Services Center, where they will deliver their contributions. Following the Food Run, the group will ride to their chapter's monthly meeting and picnic. All those interested in participating, or contributing, are asked to bring nonperishable foods and disposable diapers. The items will be brought to the Neighborhood Services Center where they will be used to help the needy families in Chester County. PTO raffle set
The Oxford Area School District Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is holding a fundraising raffle for a new John Deere X304 lawn tractor, which has a retail value of $3,500. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to purchase an electronic sign for the entrance to Oxford Area High School that will feature running announcements of events. The cost is $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. Tickets are available at all district schools and the Administration Building, 125 Bell Tower Ln., Oxford. The winner will be announced at the Oxford Area Board of School Directors meeting scheduled for Monday, July 17. (Winners need not be present). For more information call 610-932-4400.
Golf tournament fundraiser scheduled in Quarryville
The Oxford Athletic Association will hold a "Let there be lights" four player scramble golf tournament fundraiser Monday, July 24. The event will be held at Tanglewood Golf Course in Quarryville with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The $70 entry fee includes golf, cart, prizes and dinner after the tournament.
