WEST CHESTER—Several roads will be closed and motorists will encounter delays during roadwork planned in the next several days.
Motorists will encounter periodic lane closures on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Greenwood Road and Route 52 (Lenape Road) in Kennett Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, March 18, weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for overhead bridge repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced. The periodic lane closures will take place through the end of May.
Motorists will encounter a lane restriction on Route 82 (Union Street) between Cedar Street and Route 82 (South Street) in Kennett Square Borough, Chester County, on Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sidewalk replacement.
Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 372 (Valley Avenue) at Green Street in Atglen Borough, Chester County, on Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility installation as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 26 miles of state highway in Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area. The schedule is weather dependent.
