DEVON — A 4-month-old infant found unresponsive in a bathtub Wednesday afternoon is fighting for his life at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at a residence on the 400 block of Conestoga Road in the Devon Green community and was discovered after someone placed a 911 call from the home. Berwyn Fire Company EMTs and Easttown Township Police Department responded to the scene.
“The EMTs managed to restore the baby’s breathing and heartbeat,” said Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan.
The baby's condition was listed as critical Friday afternoon. The child's parents are with him at the hospital.
The baby was unresponsive when medics arrived but started breathing after lifesaving measures were started.
Chester County Detectives were called in to investigate, but Hogan said authorities are now reviewing the circumstances of what happened to the infant.
No external wound were discovered on the infant, and Hogan said it’s too early determine if three was any criminal action involved.
