KENNETT SQUARE -- Dorothy Edinoff, a current resident of the Friends Home in Kennett Square, celebrated her 100th birthday among acquaintances at the Kennett Area Senior Center last week.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1912.
Edinoff moved to Kennett Square after having lived most of her life in Manhatten's Upper West Side. She has worked as a clothing marketer and a registrar in the Yonkers Public Schools.
In recent years she moved to Kennett Square to be close to her son and daughter-in-law, who live in Lincoln University.
She said, looking back, she recalls a subway ride costing 5 cents in New York. She added that her favortie car was a Buick Century.
