But it is there that the familiarity ends. Here there are white balls whizzing through the air over a low net, the definitive thwack of flat, square paddles connecting with the ball, forcing it to soar back through the air to the opposite side of the net.

After building big leads, both the Indians and the Cougars suffered collapses on the ice which cost them on the scoreboard, though each did gain a point in a 5-5 finish in a EPIHA Ches-Mont game Monday night at Ice Line.

<![CDATA[Ice Hockey: Balanced scoring leads Unionville over D-West]]> WEST GOSHEN >> What makes Unionville assistant coach Dave Elvin proud of his team is the fact he can't single out one player on his team.

That's because the Indians boast such a talented, well balanced team which has yet to lose a game and continued with an 8-1 win over Downingtown West in a girls varsity game Monday night.

<![CDATA[Girls basketball: Despite challenges, Great Valley, Kennett enjoy experience at Wells Fargo Center]]> The setting was surreal when Great Valley and Kennett walked on the Wells Fargo Center floor last Friday.

Both teams realized they were about to play on a NBA floor, but the magnitude of the event didn't phase any of the players once the game commenced.

Especially since the game played on the court was a lot different than the one the Patriots and Blue Demons are used to in a typical Ches-Mont American Division match-up.

<![CDATA[Football: Kennett, Oxford in need of new football coaches]]> Since resurrecting its program in 2005, Kennett didn't have a winning season until 2011 when the Blue Demons went 6-4 in Green's second season. In 2012, Kennett went 7-3, barely missing the Class AAAA District 1 playoffs.

Green, who was hired by Kennett in 2010 after coordinating Garnet Valley's offense, installed the option offense in effort to compensate for the Blue Demons' lack of size and depth.

Even when Malvern (6-0-0 overall) comes out of the gate a little off in its game, the players and coaches are able to pull the team back together and get back on the right track, as was the case Friday.
