<![CDATA[Drop it in for longer drives]]> A young golfer who was mightily struggling with his game was moving his hands and club almost horizontally, out toward the ball at the start of his downswing. This move is known as swinging over-the-top. His club path was 7.4 degrees left of the target through impact. He was slicing the ball to the right because his club was moving across the back of the ball to the left.

<![CDATA[O'Neill eager to change Avon Grove's fortunes]]> London grove >> The Avon Grove football program has a bit of an identity problem.

The combination of being the 47th biggest school in the PIAA (out of 582 schools) and being born in 2002 has created a tricky mesh of expectations.

Is Avon Grove a big school and thus, expected to compete with the other big boys around the Ches-Mont League? Or is Avon Grove a 13-year old program that needs to mature before hanging with the Downingtowns and Coatesvilles on a yearly basis is a reasonable goal?

<![CDATA[KAU 13U Red Team wins Vance Cooper Championship]]>

Any team in any sport might expect that trying to win a championship on home turf could increase the pressure to do so, but winning that championship becomes more special, too. The members of the KAU 13U "Red" Team faced the pressure and now know that special feeling, too, after winning the 2014 Vance Cooper District 28 Championship at KAU's Sinton Field, 13-8, over the Glenmoore-Eagle Youth Association (GEYA).

<![CDATA[District 28 All-Stars head to Big League World Series]]> When the KAU Kings won the Eastern Regional Championship last season and advanced to the Senior League World Series, parents, coaches, and friends told them to be happy just to be there.

Apparently Unionville High School senior Ryan Barrett thought a twice-in-a-lifetime trip to a World Series would be better.
