Junior Girl Scouts from Unionville Elementary publish books

Fifth Grade Junior Girl Scouts from Unionville Elementary thought hard about what to do for their Bronze Award. This is the highest Award Junior Girl Scouts can earn. They knew they wanted to do something for their school. They decided to create books based on the “letter puppets” that the kindergarten uses in their classroom. The Junior Girl Scouts organized into six groups and came up with stories and illustrations for their assigned letters. After months of brainstorming, rough drafts and editing, the books were published and hard-cover bound. Troop 4745 produced six hard covered books to present to the UE kindergarten class.
