KENNETT SQUARE >> After a widely successful inaugural year in 2016, The Creamery plans to reopen its garden gates to the Kennett Square community and visitors alike on Friday, May 26, 2017.

The original site of the Eastern Condensed Milk Company on Birch Street, founded in 1902 in Kennett Square, the Creamery was reimagined as a pop-up beer garden and community gathering space after falling into disrepair for many years.

Last year, the Creamery quickly became a favorite hangout for many in the community due to its ability to provide a little something for everyone. From the multitude of craft beer options and rotating food truck vendors to local live music and lawn games for the whole family, many guests were seen frequently enjoying the Creamery’s offerings. Amid the beer garden craze that is evident throughout the country, the Creamery stands out as a place that’s committed to its roots and celebrating the history of the past, present and future.

The Creamery team is focused on making the upcoming season even better. New this season will be a unique children’s garden on the west end of the property in addition to the lush gardens that created a beautiful juxtaposition with the industrial space last year. Sandra Mulry, largely in charge of the Creamery’s transformation, quotes, “We are thrilled to come back this season to continue what we started - to reclaim, repurpose and reimagine the old Creamery into a new space that fosters community, history, and art. We look forward to sharing the space with old friends and new visitors and we’re excited to show off our new children’s garden!”

Additionally, the Creamery’s food truck will feature delicious southern BBQ and fixings and Punk’d Pineapple will be serving dessert favorites. As a space that continuously seeks to promote local art and music, new pieces from artists in the community as well as new bands will be on site for the general public to enjoy.

The Creamery will re-open Friday, May 26th at 4 PM and will be open Thursdays-Sundays through September. For hours and more information visit www.kennettcreamery.com or follow us on Instagram and Twitter (@kennettcreamery) or Facebook (Facebook.com/kennettcreamery).
