AVONDALE >> A three-vehicle crash on Friday morning closed Route 41 for several hours, Pennsylvania State Police said.
A dump truck, pickup truck and a car were involved in the crash at 8:45 a.m. on Route 41 near Baltimore Pike in Avondale. State police Avondale barracks responded and are investigating the crash in which the dump truck overturned. Police said the dump truck spilled sand, which took a while to be cleaned up from the roadway. No injuries were reported.
Traffic was blocked from north Route 41 to Baltimore Pike, police said. Route 41 reopened at 11:50 a.m. in both directions from the Route 1 Bypass to Baltimore Pike.
