Tomorrow: Kennett vs. Unionville, and the community wins!

Kennett Consolidated and Unionville high school teachers will be having a charity basketball game this Friday FEb. 17. Proceeds will benefit JDRF.

Students from two local high schools have rallied together to organize a fundraiser to benefit the JDRF Delaware Chapter. The basketball tournament will be held on Friday, February 17 (with a snow date on Friday, March 3) at the gymnasium at Kennett Square High School.

Teachers from Kennett Square High School and Unionville High School will show off their slam dunks in a full-court teacher vs. teacher basketball game. The students have been working together to recruit teachers, design t-shirts and organize all logistics of the event to benefit their friends and families living with type 1 diabetes in the community.

Each school’s raster The game will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $5 per person. Attendees can participate in the half-time knock-out tournament for $2 per person. All admission fees and donations collected at the event will 100% benefit JDRF. Council students will also sell concessions to split between the council and JDRF.
