Southern Chester County Regional Police

Assault >> A Southern Chester County man faces multiple charges after police say he assaulted a woman, throwing her over the hood of her car, then kicking her several times while she was on the ground. Robert Eller, 36, of Avondale, faces multiple charges of simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department issues a press release with this version of events.

On Monday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m., a female victim arrived at the police station to report an assault that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Cooper Road.

The victim was transported to the hospital before the interview could be conducted, due to obvious pain from her injuries. After being discharged from the hospital, the victim was able to provide an interview with police and stated the following: The victim arrived with her children at Eller’s residence. An argument ensued and Eller allegedly grabbed the victim by her neck, throwing her over the hood of her vehicle, causing her to land on the ground. While on the ground Eller allegedly kicked the victim several times in the chest and leg area while spitting on her. The victim then threatened to call the police, which she said angered Eller, causing him to take her phone and break it. Eller then allegedly fled the scene. Eller was located later at his residence and taken into custody.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Matthew Seavey on multiple charges of simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal Mischief. Eller was released after posting 10 percent of $7,500 bail.

Retail Theft >> Tanya Lynn Minks, 33, of Nottingham, allegedly walked behind a counter and stole a pack of cigarettes at the Wawa in the 100 block of Ponds Edge Drive in West Nottingham Township on Jan. 18 at 4:31 a.m., police said.

Criminal Mischief >> Someone smashed a window in a vehicle in the 100 block of Hilltop Road in Franklin Township on Dec. 27 at 1:01 a.m., police said.

Theft >> Somebody stole a wallet at the Giant in the 800 block of West Baltimore Pike in Penn Township on Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m., police said,

Criminal Trespass >> Someone jiggled the handle of a door in the 40 block of Rotoline Road in Highland Township on Jan. 11 at 7:58 p.m., police said.

Snow on the road >> A 24-year-old Kennett Square man lost control of his car on Wollaston Road near North Mill Road in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 7 at 9 p.m., and the car rolled onto its side. He was not injured, police said.

Identity theft >> Someone received mail from student loan companies that she had not applied for in the 300 block of Gypsy Hill Road in Franklin township on Jan.. 6 at 2 p.m., police said.

Burglary >> Someone entered a home through the rear basement door by forcing it open in the 1400 block of Glen Willow Road in London Grove Township on Jan. 23 in the morning hours, police said.

Drugs >> Alison Grace Malone, 18, of Oxford, was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug parapherna, in the 700 block of Waterway Road in East Nottingham Township on Dec. 23 at 9:15 a.m., police said.

Theft by Deception >> Someone called a resident of the 100 block of West Branch Road in Lower Oxford on Jan. 11 at noon and informed the victim that she was eligible for an educational grant. Then the caller requested fees to be paid in gift cards. The victim purchased $1,250 in iTunes gift cards and provided the card numbers to the caller before reporting the incident, police said.

Terroristic Threats >> A 17-year-old male waited for a 15-year-old male at a bus stop in East Nottingham Township on Feb. 1 at 2:50 p.m. When the bus arrived, the subject chased and threatened the 15-year-old, police said.

Access device fraud >> Someone established an account with Comcast in the name of a resident of the 100 block of Wickersham Road in East Nottingham Township in June of 2016, police said.

Drugs >> Alison Cassidy, 22, of York, was arrested for possessing a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia on East Baltimore Pike at Lake Road in London Grove Township on Jan. 25 at 4 p.m., police said.

Retail Theft >> Paul Matthew Dempsey, 39, of Lincoln University, allegedly stole $2,253.61 worth of nicotine gum and patches from the CVS Pharmacy in the 800 block of West Baltimore Pike in Penn Township on Jan. 23 at 1:50 p.m., police said.

Hit a pothole >> A 48-year-old man from York hit a pothole on Route 41 near Faggs Manor Road on Jan. 11 at 9:13 a.m. and as a result went out of control and hit a tree. He was not injured, police said.

Theft from car >> Someone stole a Kenwood CD player from a car in the 300 block of Chestnut Road in London Grove Township overnight on Jan. 10, police said.

Deer hit >> Somebody hit a deer on Lenape Road in Pocopson Township on Feb. 4 at 8:19 p.m. There were no injuries, police said.

Drugs >> Alan Keith Tirado, 28, of Delaware, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia after his car was stopped for an inoperable brake light in the 1800 block of Newark Road in West Marlborough Township on Dec. 28 at 12:26 p.m., police said.

Theft >> A known resident took a laptop and pawned it from a victim in the 20 block of Robin Circle in London Grove Township on Dec. 29, 30 or 31, police said.

Theft >> Someone stole a piece of heavy equipment, a skid steer loader valued at $45,000 from a job site in London Grove Township between Feb. 3 and 7 police said.

Crash >> Kim Gordy, 57, of Newark, Delaware, was driving under the influence and struck a bridge on Marshall Bridge Road in Kennett Township on Jan. 29 at 3:17 a.m., police said.

Drugs and Theft >> Autumn Kellie Grown, 22, and Maiah Latrease Wright, 21, both of Lincoln University concealed items from Walmart in the 800 block of Commons Drive in Lower Oxford on Feb. 3 at 7:49 p.m. and didn’t pay for them. Brown was found to also have a small amount of marijuana, police said.

Drug possession >> James Ronald Hill Jr., 37, of Oxford, was charged with an arrest warrant and was found to have heroin and drug paraphernalia in the 300 block of West Christine Road in West Nottingham Township on Feb. 2 at 2:13 p.m., police said.

Theft of lost property >> A 35-year-old male is under investigation in the theft of a lost wallet at a parking lot in the 900 block of East Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township on Nov. 28, police said.

Theft by deception >> Someone passed a counterfeit $5 bill at the Sunoco in the 300 block of East Baltimore Pike in London Grove Township on Jan. 3 in the late afternoon, police said.

Loitering and prowling >> A male wearing dark colored clothes is reported to have been peering through a bedroom window near Colton Drive in Londonderry Township on Jan. 13 at 6 a.m., police said.

Device Fraud >> A man and woman from Coatesville used the debit card of an 82-year-old man from Highland Township at various locations on Dec. 3, police said.

Theft >> A 40-year-old female from Oxford took jewelry, coins and jeans from a resident of East Nottingham Township, on Dec. 4 at 12:36 p.m., police said.

Found item >> A pocketbook was found in a parking lot near Super Cuts in the 800 block of Gap Newport Pike in London Grove Township on Feb. 4. Please call the state police at 610-268-2022 if this is yours, police said.

Theft >>Two trailers and equipment were stolen from a gravel parking lot in the 100 block of Lewisville Road in Elk Township on Feb. 4 overnight, police said.

Theft of Services >> Someone used a victim’s personal information to open a Comcast account in the 200 block of Larchmont Lane in Penn Township on Jan. 18 at 8:19 p.m., police said.

DUI >> Elizabeth Lamotte Clark, 64, of West Grove was charged with DUI after a one-car crash on Route 926 in West Marlborough Township on Dec. 23 at 10:52 a.m., police said.

Rear-end collision >> A driver rear-ended another on Baltimore Pike in New Garden Township on Dec. 23 at 1:36 p.m. After stopping to share information, the striking driver fled the scene, police said.

Failure to Yield >> Regiona Kline, 82, failed to yield at a stop sign on Good Hope Road in London Britain Township on Dec. 30 at 7:51 a.m. and was struck by an oncoming car. No one was injured, police said.

Struck a train track >> Daniel Sutton, 37, of West Chester was traveling on Wawaset Road in Pocopson Township on Dec. 29 at 5:51 a.m. and struck a raised portion of a train track. His car became immobile and he fled the scene, He was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, police said.

Backing out >> A driver was backing out of a driveway on Gap-Newport Pike in Avondale on Jan. 20 and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the vehicles could be driven, police said.

Rear end sudden stop >> A driver on Pennsylvania Avenue in Avondale stopped suddenly for a pedestrian and was struck in the rear by a car in back on Jan. 11 at 6:19 p.m., police said.

Domestic Simple Assault >> Manuel Cordero Jr. of Lower Oxford was taken into custody after the report of a domestic assault in the 100 block of Toby Way in Lower Oxford on Feb. 8 at 7:45 p.m., police said.

DUI >> Alisha Marie Rausch, 26, of Rising Sun, Maryland, was arrested for DUI on Route 1 north of Route 272 in East Nottingham on Feb. 4 at 2:55 a.m., police said.
