Kennett Square bank robbed

Kennett Square >> Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced that a bank robbery took place at the Santander Bank, 313 W. Cypress St. in Kennett Square on August 15. A 5’6” male with medium build entered the bank at approximately 8:50 A.M. and announced a hold up. The suspect was wearing a zip up grey hoodie with a “PUMA” logo on the left chest. The suspect had a short goatee and wore blue jeans, a black Eagles hat, and sunglasses.

The suspect stole cash and placed it in a blue canvas bag with black straps. The suspect gave the teller the impression that he had a weapon or explosive. The suspect fled the bank on foot.

Kennett Square Police are being assisted by the Chester County Detectives, the Pennsylvania State Police, the New Garden Township Police, and the Kennett Township Police. Anyone with information should contact the Kennett Square Police at 610-444-0501.
