Some children may only just visit the ocean during vacation, but those in attendance of the free Science in the Summer program at the Bayard Taylor Memorial Library are learning all about it.

The week-long camp, sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, the Franklin Institute and the Chester County libraries, is free, but only a limited number of spots were open.

Children from second through sixth grades were able to participate and learn oceanography from certified teachers.

Participants were able to use microscopes, microviewers and magnifying glasses while having the chance to even touch different types of sea life.
