As part of its Summer 2014 series, the Chester County Pops Orchestra will return to Oxford Area High School for a performance on Saturday, July 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 seniors age 62 and over, and free for students and children. Tickets can be purchased at the Pops website, www.chescopops.org, and will be available at the door.
The Pops’ new summer program “Dancing with the Pops!” will feature dance music from around the world. Joined by dancers from McDade-Cara School of Irish Dance and the Oxford Center for Dance, Music Director Joseph Gehring will conduct the Pops through some of the world’s most exciting music. The concert culminates with the beloved music from West Side Story.
The Chesco Pops brings together 65 of Chester County’s finest instrumental players for every concert. Since its founding in 2005, the Orchestra has performed over 50 concerts at more than 20 venues in the county.
The Chesco Pops is partnering with a local non-profit in each of the communities where the concert venues are located. Once again, a percentage of ticket revenues from the Oxford concert will be awarded to the Oxford Area Senior Center.
