Longwood Gardens

Celebrate America at 9:15 p.m. on July 4 on July 4. There is an entrance fee. Celebrate Independence Day with well-loved patriotic selections such as “The Olympic Fanfare,” “Victory at Sea,” “The Colonel Bogey March,” “The Winds of War,” “King’s Row,” “Armed Forces Medley,” “The Stars & Stripes,” “The National Anthem” and more. Purchase tickets ahead of time. Ages 16 & over: $38; Member ages 16 & over: $31; Ages 15 & under: $22; Member ages 15 & under: $18. Guests may reserve a space in the viewing area after 3 p.m. For the best viewing experience, guests are encouraged to bring a lightweight folding chair. Rental chairs can be purchased for $5 each (while supplies last). In our efforts to create the best Fireworks & Fountains experience for all attendees, Blankets will not be permitted. In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to set off Fireworks as scheduled—however, two rain dates are scheduled for each display. The decision to cancel the show is made 15 minutes prior to show time.

Parkesburg

Parkesburg Fair is sponsored by Keystone Valley Fire Department at Minch Park on July 4. Fair runs Tuesday June 30 thru Saturday July 5, 2014. Fireworks are Friday night (Rain date Saturday July 5 2014). They are free.

Hockessin

Hockessin, Delaware, will have a parade and fireworks on Friday, July 4. Parade begins at 3 p.m. and marches through Old Lancaster Pike. Fireworks begin at dusk and are shot off from Valley Road, but are visible all over the area.

Nottingham Park

Freedom Fest - Nottingham County Park on Saturday, July 5: Herr’s fireworks include an Independence weekend concert, children’s entertainment, activity and food vendors, and fireworks display, 6 to 11 p.m. There is a parking fee of $10, but admission is free. Exit Route 1 at Nottingham. Fireworks begin at about 9:45. Food vendors serve festival style foods, or you may bring a picnic of your own menu items. Bags are subject to being searched. Lots open at 6 p..m; shuttle buses run from 6 to 9:15 p.m. from Herr parking area to event field. Pets, canopies and strollers are not permitted on buses.
