Oxford Area High School senior Alyssa Sniechoski recently signed a letter of intent to attend St. Francis University of Pennsylvania after being awarded four-year academic and athletic scholarships. Alyssa will join the track and field team at Division I St. Francis where she will compete in the pole vault.

At Oxford, Alyssa was Ches-Mont League champion in the pole vault in her sophomore year, fourth in District 1 and 10th in the state in her junior year and sixth at districts in her senior year. “Alyssa is very coachable and it was an enjoyable experience to see her succeed in her career at Oxford,” said assistant coach Spencer Beimfohr. “Over the years she progressed to become one of the top two athletes in pole vault we’ve had at the high school. Alyssa took on a leadership role on the team and served as a mentor and motivator to our younger athletes.”

At St. Francis, Alyssa has enrolled in a five-year program to earn a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
