Exterior house fire on Elm Street in Norristown

NORRISTOWN — The cause of a fire Wednesday evening at 208 E. Elm St. Norristown, is under investigation, said Norristown Fire Chief Tom O’Donnell.

“The fire started on the exterior of the home and burned up the first floor rear of the home,” O’Donnell noted, adding that there were no injuries.

Norristown, Hancock, Swedeland, Bridgeport, Goodwill, Humane and Plymouth fire departments responded to the 6:39 p.m. call.
