Sacred Heart School in West Grove and Avon Grove Charter School Early Learning Center joined to collect food for Thanksgiving baskets for people in need in the Avondale-West Grove area through the International Basket Brigade project. Girl Scouts from Oxford helped out as well. Each basket provided a certificate for a free turkey and enough food to feed a family of four to six individuals.

After the baskets will filled and collected, they were distributed by Sacred Heart Parish Aid for Friends, Oxford Neighborhood Services and the Even Start program.
