Opinion
Writer supports Seavey
By Cindy Boyd
During this election cycle, I have been impressed with Matthew Seavey, who is running for district judge for the Avondale court.
For sometime now, temporary judges have been filling in for the district judge seat, and in the long run that has weakened our community. We need a dedicated, prepared individual to take charge of that court and help it protect and serve our community as a "people's court" should.
Matthew has made it his business to get out in the community to find out what concerns the voters have. He has committed to full-time, 24/7 service to the community. And he has worked closely in conjunction with the Chester County courts system and understands how it works.
He has served honorably as a state constable for the past five years and is truly a dedicated public servant who goes above and beyond to perform his duties and treat all with whom he comes in contact with respect and justice.
Matthew has pledged to establish a teen truancy court to help our kids stay on or get back on the right path. I think this is a critical piece of setting a positive example for our entire community.
