‘Art of Marriage' program set for St. Andrew United Methodist

NEW BERLINVILLE — An exciting two-day program titled, “The Art of Marriage,” will be presented from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 and March 1 by Family Life and hosted by St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 611 Swamp Creek Road.

Every marriage is either growing in intimacy or drifting towards isolation. Whether you are an engaged couple, newlywed couple or “been married forever” couple, join this exciting opportunity to start, rekindle or strengthen your marriage.

The Art of Marriage is a biblically based video experience that provides marital wisdom and advice from expert teachers, real life marital stories, as well as humorous short skits on six important marital topics. The six topics span across both days and include Purpose of Marriage, drift toward isolation, marital roles, communication, romance and leaving a legacy. The topics help couples build a strong marital foundation in order to assist in resolution of current marital challenges or work through future marital challenges.

Each person receives an Art of Marriage manual to take home. Exercises in the manual provide opportunities for private communication between couples during the conference, as well as after the conference is complete. There are brief opportunities for group discussion after each topic.

Since its release in 2011, over 400,000 people have participated in The Art of Marriage, with 97 percent saying they would recommend it to other couples.

Cost of the program is free, but donations are welcome.

Registration is limited to 28 couples.
