Garden Party will have international theme

Oxford Arts Alliance invites you to support local arts and culture during the fifth annual Garden Party on June 15 at Ware Presbyterian Village. Celebrate the beginning of summer with a buffet dinner, silent auction, live music and the ever-popular table decorating contest. The event has an international theme this year and we encourage participants to draw inspiration from this with their table decorations.

This year, the festive tents will be set up on the beautiful garden surrounding the Welcome Center at Ware Presbyterian Village. Live music from the Oxford Arts Alliance music instructors will provide the soundtrack for dining under the stars. Mingle with friends, meet fellow supporters of the arts and culture and contribute to the beneficial community work of the Oxford Arts Alliance.

This years silent auction features dozens of wonderful items including art, packages, gift certificates, and other goodies from local businesses and artists. The auction committee also welcomes donations from individuals and businesses for the general silent auction.

Keeping in the spirit of friendly competition, we encourage attendees to participate in the table decorating contest. Cream-colored linens are provided on each table, but participants can get creative and bring centerpieces, linens, and any other decorations (previous participants even came in costume!) to decorate their table with an international theme of their choice. Be inspired by landmarks, flowers, food or cultures. The possibilities are endless. Have fun! The contest will be judged and the winners will receive a wonderful prize.

Individual tickets can be purchased, but we encourage you to gather a group of eight and purchase a table (at a $5 discount per person). The event is BYO for beverages, and BYO-suggested for plates, cutlery, and napkins. Some extra tableware will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own to add to the flair of your themed decoration and cut down on waste.

To purchase tickets please stop in the Oxford Arts Alliance during open hours or visit .
