Disney’s crowd pleaser, The Little MermaidJr, is coming to town.
The Kennett Middle School proudly presents its 14th annual student musical production The Little MermaidJr opening May 10th at 7pm in the school’s auditorium, located on 195 Sunny Dell Road in Landenberg, PA. On May 11th, there will be two more performances at 1 pm and 7 pm.
The Little MermaidJr marks the third Disney show among KMS musical productions. The school produced their first Disney show, AladdinJr, in 2006. In 2009, it was Beauty and the BeastJr. Both were very popular among families with children. The Little MermaidJr is expected to bring a good crowd to the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.
Heather Uster the Director, Mr. Kyle Scheuing the Music Director, and Ms. Karen Goldman the Stage Manager have been working with 100 students to develop their acting, singing, and dancing skills. Auditions were in January, and rehearsals began in February. Olivia Pagliaro will play the title role of Ariel, while Ben Skross will play Prince Eric. Other talents include Cassidy Matz as Ursula, Tamblyn Mitchell as Flounder, and Cole Bottari as Sebastian.
The show is approximately 1½ hours long with one intermission, during which snacks and flowers will be available for purchase. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Kennett Middle School’s annual musical production has been a highlight of local community entertainment since its debut in 1999.
