The local Brandywine Valley Girl Scout Service Unit hosted 250 Girl Scouts for a “Bonanza” of workshops led by Cadettes and Seniors Girl Scouts. The event was held in Unionville at St. Michael’s church.The dozen workshops included Detective, Entertainment Technology, Drawing, Product Designs, Musician, Playing the Past, Animal Habitats, Social Butterfly and Dance, Dance, Dance. So while some Girls were dancing in the hallways, others were learning about animals habitats, the science of detective work and how to design products. The event attracted Girl Scouts from the State of Delaware, as well as, from all over the State of Pennsylvania. The event provided a perfect opportunity for older Girl Scouts to practice their organizing and leadership skills. The 26 Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts who led the workshops were from Kennett Middle and High School, Patton Middle School and Unionville High School, as well as, Westtown School.
