The KMC trampoline team traveled to the Unique Gymnastics Academy in Waldorf, Md., on March 3 in preparation for state and regional competitions in April and May. Approximately 120 competitors, from nine teams and six states around the region participated in the Unique Trampoline and Tumbling Invitational.
Melissa Fitzgibbon won first place on level 8 trampoline, for girls 13-and-14 and Carson Bogda placed third, for boys 11-and-12. In level 8, for boys 15-and-over, on Matthew Wileyto received third place and Ilan DiFilippo took home fourth. For double mini trampoline Ilan won third place and Matthew placed fourth. In level 7, Samantha Sullivan earned first place and Melissa Fitzgibbon received third place on double mini trampoline for girls 13-and-14; Carson Bogda placed second for boys 11-and-12. On level 7 trampoline Samantha won third place. On double mini trampoline, for boys 9-and-10, in level 6, Mateo Reihman won second place. In level 5, on trampoline, Cullan Darhower took third and Mateo came in fourth. For double mini trampoline in level 5, Cullan took second place; for boys 11-and-12, Forrest King won first place. Also in level 5, Giselle Bianco placed eighth on double mini trampoline and fourth on trampoline for girls 9-and-10. In the 11-and-12 group, Juliette Bianco placed ninth and Julia Haenn was tenth on trampoline. For double mini trampoline, Julia was fourth and Juliette took home eighth. For girls, 15-and-over, Michaela Clarkson won first place on both trampoline and double mini trampoline. Forrest King placed first on trampoline in level 4 for boys 11-and-12.
