KMC does well in Philadelphia Invitational

The KMC Boys Gymnastics Team competed in their seventh gymnastics meet of the 2012-2013 seasonFebruary 15-17th at the Philadelphia Boys Invitational in Philadelphia, PA. Five hundred and ninety gymnasts, from forty-six teams and six states from around the region participated. KMCs level 5 won the team competition and level 4 placed second. Four boys took home first place all-around trophies and eight boys placed in the top three in the all-around competition.

Level 7

In the 10-and-11 year old age group, Kieran Murdocca earned first in all-around ,floor, pommel horse, rings, and parallel bars. He finished second onvault and third on high bar. Collin Cunane won third in all-around and took home first on vaultand high bar, he placed sixth on parallel bars.

Level 6

For the 10-and-11 year old age group, Liam Bachman earned first in all-around and placed second on floor, rings, and parallel bars. He was third onvault and fourth on pommel horse. For the 12-and-older age group, Joseph Haftl took home fourth in all-around and on floor. He placed fifth on pommel horse, third on rings and parallel bars. Alek Getman placed third on high barand fifth on rings.

Level 10

In the 14-and-15year old age group, Matt Bunke earned fifth in all-around and on high bar. Hewon fourth on pommel horse, and sixth on rings.

Level 4

In the 7-and-under age group, Parker Wyatt earned fifth in all-around and high bar. Hetook home sixth on floor and fourth on pommel horse. In the 8-and-9 year old age group, Nick Dunbar received second in all-around and was first on vault. He placed third onfloor, pommel horse, and rings; he also received second on parallel bars and fifth on high bar. Joey Ajalli finished fourth in all-around and earned second on high bar. He placed fifth on floor, sixth on rings and fifth on parallel bars.

Level 5

In the 8-and-under age group,Charlie Fultz took home first in all-around, floor, rings, and parallel bars. He was second on high bar, third on pommel horse and sixth on vault. Kyle Walchuk earned second in all-around and parallel bars. He won firston pommel horseand high bar;he was fourth on rings and floor, and fifth on vault. Tate Colarik finished second on vault and fifth on high bar. In the 10-and-11 year old agegroup, Andrew Overman received first in all-around and on floor. He was second on vault and parallel bars and fourth on high bar. Gunar Daniels took home second in all-around and pommel horse. He placed fourth on floorand parallel bars and fifth on ringsand high bar.Thomas Casey finished third on floor. Russell Herbstritt earned fourth on floor and sixth on parallel bars.

KMC Gymnastics is located at 912 W Cypress St in Kennett Square PA. The gym is run and owned by Karen Myers. The boys train with Victor Kolesnikov, Brian Narvaez and Dave Hirst. The boys will compete again March 2-3 at the University of Maryland.
