State Police:

Mhamed Mazagrani, 49, of West Grove was not injured in a one-vehicle accident on West Street Road in Pocopson Township on Jan. 6 at 5:42 a.m. He failed to negotiate a curve, hit a curb, traveled off the roadway and hit a ditch, police said.

Myana Young, 21, of Lancaster was arrested for retail theft at Walmart in Lower Oxford Township on Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m., police said.

Daniel Alexander Sand, 26, of Kennett Square failed to stop for emergency lights and sirens at a traffic stop on Route 52 at Route 926 in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 6 at 2:42 a.m. He was followed to his home, where he was taken into custody for DUI, fleeing and other traffic violations, police said.

Brett Weller, 35, of West Grove was cited for public drunkenness on Chambers Way at East Hillcrest Avenue in West Grove on Jan. 6 at 1:45 a.m., police said.

A 17-year-old male driver from Landenberg suffered a minor injury in a one-vehicle accident when he failed to negotiate a turn, traveled off the road and struck a fence on Pennock’s Bridge Road in Franklin Township on Jan. 5 at 5:43 a.m., police said.

A driver suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Baltimore Pike southwest of Bayard Road in East Marlborough Township on Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m. Matthew Reinstrom, 19, of Oxford rear-ended a car that was stopped at the intersection. The driver of the struck vehicle was hospitalized, police said.

No one was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on East Baltimore Pike south of Greenwood Road in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 4 at 6:35 a.m. Rosalio Aguilar, 46, of Kennett Square was traveling northbound in the right lane and Kevin Arrell, 24, of West Grove was traveling northbound in the left lane. Aguilar crossed the lane line and forced Arrell into the street barrier. Arrell then was struck by Aguilar, police said.

Someone stole the night deposit from an employee of a business in the 600 block of Miller’s Hill Road in Kennett Township and then escaped on foot toward Way’s Lane on Jan. 5 at 1:22 a.m., police said.

Someone entered a home and took a Samsung TV, an iPod, seven bottles of wine and various pieces of jewelry in the 300 block of Little Elk Creek Road in East Nottingham Township on Jan. 4 during the daytime hours, police said.

Someone entered a home in the 200 block of Crimson Road in East Nottingham Township on Jan. 4 during the daytime hours by kicking in the rear garage door. Once inside, the person took a 6--inch flat screen TV, an electric guitar, a 22-inch flat screen TV and some jewelry, police said.

Russell Lester, 30, of Cochranville was arrested for stealing an xBox hard drive, a charger cable and running shorts from the Walmart in Oxford on Jan. 4 at 10 a.m., police said.

New Garden Police:

Rodolfo Villagomez-Rodriguez, 44 of Kennett Square has been charged with DUI following an auto accident on Dec. 21 at the intersection of W. Baltimore Pike and Scarlett Road, police said.

David Mull, 52 of North East, Md., was cited for trespassing following an incident on Dec. 25, when police were called to the 200 block of Crestview Drive for a subject on the property that was not supposed to be there, police said.

Juan Carrillo-Pantoja, 33, of Kennett Square was cited for public drunkenness following a call on Dec. 26 in the 900 block of W. Cypress Street, police said.

Oscar Mendez-Cuba, 22, of Oxford has been charged with DUI following a call on Jan. 1 in the area of Gap Newport Pike and Limestone Road, when Mendez-Cuba was found at a stop sign, behind the wheel of the running vehicle with his foot on the brake, sleeping, police said.

Kennett Police:

Arturo Salina-Oseguera, 23, of Kennett Square was detained for an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of the DA’s office, following a traffic stop at South Walnut and Birch Streets on Friday, Dec. 21, at 8:11 p.m., police said.

On Monday, Dec. 17, at 11:45 a.m., a resident of the 100 block of W. State Street received a phone call from a subject who stated that the resident had won $1,255,000 and that someone would be coming to their location to deliver the check. The resident was advised that in the meantime, they needed to go to the Wal-Mart and get a GreenDot card loaded with $299.00 to pay for the transportation fee, police said.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, between 10:36 a.m. and 12 p.m., a cell phone and a wallet containing cash, drivers license, several credit cards and medical cards were stolen from a business located in the 100 of block Race Street, police said.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., a flat screen TV was stolen from a residence located in the 100 block East State Street, police said.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, police were advised that on Monday, Dec. 17, between 7 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 100 block East South Street had been egged, police said.

Alejandro Munguia-Carcamo, 43, of Kennett Square was cited for public drunkenness on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 4:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Center Street, police said.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, sometime between 12:30 and 10:00 p.m., a residence located in the 400 block of East South Street was burglarized, police said. Items taken in the burglary were an xBox, a cell phone, several pieces of jewelry and prescription medication.
