Pole struck

Anamarie Vignola, 56, of Kennett Square suffered minor injuries when her car crossed over the center line on Route 52 in Pennsbury Township on July 10 at 6:12 p.m. and struck a pole, police said.

George Bush III, 23, of Cochranville was not injured when he lost control of his vehicle and hit an embankment on Newark Road south of Glenville road in Upper Oxford Township on July 4 at 3:45 a.m. The vehicle overturned, and Bush was subsequently arrested for DUI, police said.

Someone took $170 in cash from a register in the 800 block of Baltimore Pike in Pennsbury Township on July 8, 9 or 10, police said.

Someone tried to pry open the rear door of the medical center in the 800 block of East Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square on July 10 at 12:05 a.m., police said.

Someone took power equipment and tools worth $1,400 from the 5200 block of Street Road in Oxford between June 22 and July 6, police said.

A female under 21 years old consumed alcohol on Route 896 south of Shepherd Lane in New London Township on July 7 at 1:09 a.m., police said.

Laura Rivera-Vazquez, 37, of Oxford suffered minor injuries when her car traveled off Oxford Road east of Hickory Hill Road in East Nottingham Township on July 7 at 5:42 a.m., hit an embankment and overturned, police said.

Samuel Lampl, 21, of Lincoln University suffered minor injuries when his car rear-ended another on Baltimore Pike just south of Route 52 north in Kennett Township on July 5 at 3:14 p.m. The struck vehicle was towed from the scene, but the drive was unhurt, police said.

Lawrence Hanning, 42, of Cochranville was arrested for DUI at a sobriety checkpoint on Route 796 north of Lewis Road in Penn Township on July 7 at 12:05 a.m., police said.

Someone stole several items and damaged several walls and floor heater units in an attempt to remove all the wiring from the home in the 100 block of Pheasant Hill Lane in Franklin Township between May 30 and July 3. Items removed include copper piping, wiring, two lawn mowers, a heater, tools, a boat and more, police said.

Rebecca Brooks, 18, of Newark, Del., failed to yield to oncoming traffic after a stop sign and collided with oncoming traffic on July 1 at 9:57 a.m. Brooks’ passenger was injured as were the struck driver and a 10-year-old passenger, police said.

Kevin Brough, 19, of Oxford suffered moderate injuries when he pulled a wheelie on his motorcycle and lost control on Route 1 north of Chatham Road in London Grove Township on July 1 at 11:22 a.m., police said.

Juan Perez, 49, of Wilmington was arrested at a sobriety checkpoint on Baltimore Pike east of Union Street in New Garden Township on July 4 at 8:55 p.m. after a breath test indicated he was over the BAC limit, police said.

Gabrielle Rivest, 41, of Oxford was not injured when she turned onto Waterway Road in East Nottingham Township on July 2 at 5 p.m. and collided with an oncoming vehicle. One passenger in the struck vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.

Jeffrey Michael Roberts, 30, of Kennett Square was arrested and charged with several counts of aggravated indecent assault, terroristic threats, possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault and indecent assault against a 25-year-old victim from Oxford. The incident occurred at Winding Way and Taylor Lane in East Marlborough Township on June 30 in the early morning hours, police said.

On June 2, a resident of the 900 block of Merrybell Lane in Kennett Township discovered that checks were stolen and had been forged and attempted to be cashed, police said.

Elizabeth Porter, 28, of Newark, Del., lost control of her vehicle on Newark Road north of Webb road in Upper Oxford Township on June 29 on 6:37 p.m., traveled downhill and struck an embankment. Porter suffered minor injuries and her passengers (children) suffered unspecified injuries, police said.

Douglas Evans, 54, of Oxford failed to stop at a stop sign on Barnsley Road at its intersection with Media Road in East Nottingham Township on June 29 at 3:14 p.m. His car struck an oncoming car, police said.

Linda Jean Belden, 65, of Landenberg drove to the home of a West Marlborough resident, got out of her car, struck the female several times and then rammed the victim’s car while she was in it and then left the scene, police said.

Antonio Saldano Garcia, 45, of London Grove Township was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the police barracks for a breath test on Route 41 south of Woodview road on June 29 at 12:34 a.m., police said.

Laura Rivera-Vazquez, 37, of Oxford traveled off the side of Oxford Road east of Hickory Hill Road in East Nottingham Township on July 7 at 5:42 a.m. Her car hit an embankment and overturned. she suffered only minor injuries, police said.

Someone slashed the tires of a 2004 Chevy Silverado in the unit block of Reds Lane in West Grove overnight on June 26, police said.

Someone took lights from the front yard of a home in the 200 block of Coldiron Drive in East Nottingham Township overnight on July 11, police said.

Someone took cash from a change jar containing about $15 from a business in the 400 block of Limestone Road in Lower Oxford Township on July 12 at 1 p.m., police said.

Someone keyed a vehicle in the 100 block of Wedgewood Road in East Nottingham Township on July 14 between 6 and 10 a.m., police said.

A 17-year-old female driver skidded off Appleton Road in Franklin Township on July 14 at 10:31 a.m. The car rolled over at least once and landed next to a tree. The driver suffered minor injuries, police said.

New Garden Township:

Israel Franco-Venites, AKA Javier Maldonado, 31 of Coatesville, was arrested and charged with DUI, aggravated assault and related offenses following an accident that occurred July 6 in the 900 block of Newark Road, police said. The defendant was involved in an accident; prior to police arrival the defendant fled the scene and in doing so did strike with his vehicle a subject from the other vehicle involved, sending him onto the hood of the defendant’s vehicle, police said.

Shinai Davidson, 27 of Kennett Square, was taken into custody on July 3 for committing the robbery of a business in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike on June 28, police said,

Chelsea Szczepkowski, 21 of Kennett Square, was taken into custody on July 10 in the 500 block of Oakland Court after police received a call she was in possession of illegal narcotics, police said. A search discovered 10 bags of heroin and two needles, according to police reports.
