Rock The Park set Aug. 18 in Kennett Square

Kennett Square >> The Anson B. Nixon Park is hosting Rock the Park, a ticketed live music concert by local sensation Love Seed Mama Jump on Saturday, August 18. Concert gates open at 3 p.m. and the show runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission tickets cost $15 and are available at the door. Tickets purchased online at will include a coupon for a complimentary beverage. Proceeds from the event will support installation of new signage in the Park.

Love Seed Mama Jump, the popular six piece rock band from Dewey Beach Delaware, is known for its high energy rock and roll music. Described as “guitar driven pop rock” they perform a blend of modern beats and melodic hooks delivered with powerful, impassioned vocals. Also performing that day are You Be You at 4 pm and John Gibson at 5 pm. The upbeat program will appeal to all family members.

Family activities, arts and crafts for kids and nature demonstrations will be provided by volunteers from Longwood Gardens, Mt. Cuba Horticulture Center and Bike Kennett . Food vendors will offer a variety of menu offerings and Victory Brewing will serve a selection of popular beverages.


Open lawn seating is available throughout the Park and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking is located via the Park’s North Walnut Street entrance.

Admission tickets are $15 and free for guests under age 21. Tickets are available at , through ansonbnixonpark@gmail, and at the Park on the day of the event.
